Ferguson Fire (Mariposa County) – DBO Proclamation

Extraordinary Situation Proclaimed in Mariposa County

On July 26, 2018, Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. proclaimed a state of emergency in Mariposa County due to the effects of the Ferguson fire which has damaged structures and infrastructure and threatened homes. Consequently, Commissioner of Business Oversight Jan Lynn Owen has determined that an extraordinary situation exists in Mariposa County and has issued a proclamation authorizing state-chartered banks to close any or all of their offices in affected areas until the Commissioner determines the extraordinary condition has ended.
