2014 Annual Report for Lenders and Brokers Licensed under the California Finance Lenders Law (CFLL)

Dear CFLL Licensee:

The form and instructions for the 2014 Annual Report for Lenders and Brokers Licensed under the California Finance Lenders Law are available on the Department of Business Oversight’s (DBO) website at https://dfpi.ca.gov/Licensees/Finance_Lenders/Forms.asp. The form is available in a downloadable Excel format and must be uploaded to the Department’s website when completed. In order to file the report, licensees must log in to the self-service portal using their username and password in order to upload the completed report.

For licensees who have not registered in the DBO’s Self-Service DOCQNET Portal, the registration is a three-step process: (1) licensees create an account; (2) DBO staff verify the information; and, (3) following the verification, licensees reenter the portal to complete their registration.

The registration process normally takes five days to complete. Due to anticipated demand with this first-time electronic filing, delays are expected, and licensees are encouraged to register well before the Mar. 15 deadline for filing the report.
The registration portal can be found at the following link: https://docqnet.dbo.ca.gov/registrationlanding/sign-up/?type=standard

WHEN TO FILE THE REPORT: Pursuant to Financial Code Section 22159, the report is due on or before Mar. 15.

Please note: CFLL licensees who make residential mortgage loans also must complete the two-page Residential Mortgage Loan Report on or before Mar. 31. That report can be found at https://dfpi.ca.gov/Licensees/Residential_Mortgage/pdf/Holden_Act_Report.pdf.

The consolidated 2013 Annual Report of Operations of Finance Companies Licensed under the California Finance Lenders Law is now available on the Department’s website at https://dfpi.ca.gov/Licensees/Finance_Lenders/pdf/2013_CFL_Annual_Report.pdf. Licensees will not receive a hard copy of the 2013 consolidated report and are encouraged to view the report online or print a copy for your records.

For questions, please call (213) 576-7690 and ask for the CFL Phone Duty Desk.
